What are bleached knots?

This is a process in which our stylist will either bleach the lace knots to lighten their color, or avoid coloring knots that were pre-lightened. This effectively hides the knots. You should apply a foundation, concealer, or lace tint on your parting space/hairline for an exact skin-match.

What is a human hair wig?

Human hair wigs are made with 100% human hair, as opposed to synthetic wigs, which are made with plastic fibers.

Human hair wigs have many advantages, including increased hair longevity and styling opportunities (many synthetic wigs melt under styling tools). However, they are most sought after due to how realistic they can look in comparison to synthetic wigs (which may appear shiny and frizzy).

There are different types of human hair.

Hair without any processing is considered “raw” hair. “Virgin” hair has been steam-pressed for texture.

What is a lace front?

Lace fronts are wigs with lace in the front and machine weft at back. This thin lace extends from ear to ear across the hairline. All lace front wigs have additional lace material in the front so that customers may customize it accordingly. After customization, the lace will create the illusion of “scalp” when the hair is parted in that area.

A full-lace wig has lace across the -entire- cap. There are no wefts.

Will the colors in my wig fade?

This depends entirely on how much the hair is used, which colors were used on the hair, and how the hair is taken care of. Just like the hair on our heads, hair-dye on human hair wigs has the potential to fade after multiple washes. Hair color can also fade if straightening/curling tools used are too hot. (This is why we recommend setting all styling tools to a low setting). If you believe your wig needs a color touch-up, please consult with a professional stylist.

How long can I expect the wig to last?

This also depends entirely on how much the hair is used, the climate you live in, and how the hair is taken care of. Please refer to our Hair Care Instructions Page or Blog for tips on how to increase the longevity of your unit. With proper care, limited use (ex. hair is removed before sleeping), and the right conditions, our hair is estimated to last up to a year.

Can I swim with my wig on?

Do not swim with your wig on. The chlorinated water has the potential to damage the hair irreversibly AND fade any dyes used on your wig.
